What Administrators Told The Assembly Tonight
chilledbear replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
It's the bit about liquidation being extremely remote. How can they say this before the result of the big tax case is known. -
I havn't seen this before and thought it would be of interest. Representatives from the Rangers Supporters Assembly took part in a telephone conference call with one of the administrators, Paul Clark of Duff and Phelps, this evening. Paul reaffirmed the key messages in their statement issued earlier today and the key points that were clarified in our discussions were: -Saturday's match will go ahead -Season tickets will remain valid for the remaining home matches -Tickets purchased for Inverness next weekend will be valid -Constructive meetings have been held with key stakeholders - HMRC, SFA, Police, Auditors - and these will continue -Unlikely there will be audited accounts or an AGM, however, all the financial affairs will be fully examined -Strong assurance that the Club will emerge from administration and liquidation is extremely remote -Paul was not yet in a position to determine how long the period of administration may last but stated that he saw the administration as temporary.

Hugh Grant there and all.

"Rangers are on the stock exchange and there is a renewed case for the FSA looking at this issue. Parliament is just giving the FSA the opportunity to have what's called judgemental discretion. That means looking at the business models of institutions and Rangers is a good case. I thought we came out of the stock exchange.

Always thought it was one person and that they had made their decision. Don't know why.

I have asked this before and never had a satisfactory answer. If the Tribunal is finished why does it take so long to announce the verdict? Is this wait normal? If we knew what was what it would make things a lot clearer, whatever the verdict.

I see Dundee United are still waiting on Scottish Cup money.

This is a post on FF by a poster called TyroneGer. Seemingly well connected [i know] The one problem with this theory is that the ticketus money was used to fund the takeover. The insolvency service have been given a bank statement of Whyte's lawyers account showing the money being paid in and used to clear LBG debt. FOr those who are kidding themselves that this pot of money is sitting there it aint! I've told Suck what I know about this and he will vouch for this info. We were not conserving £9mil of tax payers cash, we just couldn't afford to pay it and had we not sold Jelavic the club would not have been able to pay players from March on. Whyte has no cash, he has borrowed money to liquidate our club and make money for himself

CVA (Company Voluntary Arrangement) - Can we get one accepted?
chilledbear replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Neil Patey, football finance expert with Ernst and Young, told STVâ??s Scotland Tonight programme on Tuesday that the unpaid HMRC money could jeopardise any attempt to a creditors voluntary agreement to bring Rangers out of administration. He said: "I think it [liquidation] is a very serious possibility. The administrator needs to reach agreement with 75% of the creditors by value. We know that HMRC are a major creditor, but the administrators will need the agreement of HMRC if they are going to get a CVA. "I fear the revenue is going to take a very tough stance on this one and while normally a good underlying business would come out of administration, with this one, on the balance of chances, it might have to go down the liquidation route." -
There has to be someone the fans trust, they will not shell out more money unless there is someone with impeccable credentials as the figurehead.

Paul Murray registers interest in buying Rangers
chilledbear replied to Danny's topic in Rangers Chat
I just don't know how anybody can be on the fence over Whyte. He lied to us. He had the Assembly and VB in for meetings and blatently told them lies. He has lied since he sold the ST money last April/June. A judge in a court of law told us he was not to be trusted. Theman is a charlatan. -
They were Whytes choice as Administrators, will this make any difference if they try to follow the money trail? I wonder if anybody keeps an eye on the Aministrators/
-
IMHO the man is a crook, the quicker we get him away from the Club the better.
-
No doubt a few shouts of this on Saturday. I wonder if we will ever find out how much came in since the takeover, and how much of it actually was used for running Rangers. Does anyone know if this is actually in the administrators remit ?
-
Hope she doesn't get mixed up.

Why would Ticketus loan us £20/£24m when they must have known the state we were in ?
-
Is this true HMRC asked judge 2 let them force admin because of NEW tax debts, not the EBT sum.

HMRC moves to put Rangers into administration
chilledbear replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
Ten minute break ffs. -
These are the questions I would like to see answered.
-
What is the advantage of making the decision yesterday, rather than waiting until the verdict of the tax tribunal is anounced?
-
I take it after yesterday. We will not see the accounts? There will be no AGM?
-
some players could leave. http://t.co/OoHYq3Kg Rangers owner and chairman Craig Whyte will meet with the club’s players and staff on Tuesday morning to discuss the club’s financial situation. Whyte will explain to the players the reasons behind the decision to announce that the club intended to go into administration and will discuss the implications for staff. The Ibrox club lodged papers at the Court of Session on Monday notifying their intent to appoint administrators. Whyte has insisted that administration is not inevitable, though likely, but that the step was a practical and necessary measure to ensure the long-term future of the club. In a statement on the club’s website, the businessman said that Rangers are “facing massive financial challenges both in terms of its ongoing financial structure and performance and the potential consequences of the HMRC first tier tax tribunal”. Administration could mean job losses at Ibrox and Whyte is likely to confirm that if an administrator is appointed then it is possible that members of the playing squad may need to leave as part of cost-cutting moves.

So what do you think?

Read my posts.

First game at Ibrox was in the fifties. Worse day by far was the Disaster, but this leaves an empty feeling in the stomach. One thing that would make it even worse, would be Murray coming back. PLEASE NO.
