  1. I'm not sure it's just DK they are against.
  2. You have to wonder if they actually asked anyone at Rangers about the aftermath.
  3. RANGERS will take time to consider fully the findings of the report into the pitch invasion by Hibernian supporters at the end of the Scottish Cup final and make further comment at the appropriate time. At present we wish to do nothing that might detract from the team’s first match back in Scottish football’s top flight. We can state however that we will be seeking an urgent meeting with the author of the report, Sheriff Principal Edward Bowen, the Scottish FA’s Chief Executive Stewart Regan and his Compliance Officer, Tony McGlennan. It is imperative that we gain insight into the underlying basis for the findings in the report given that we consider it contains a number of factual inaccuracies and contradictions. It is right that the Club gives the author and requisitioner of the report the opportunity to comment on our concerns prior to making a conclusive statement. It is to be hoped that the Scottish FA, as they begin considering this report and the appropriate punishments, remember vividly what actually occurred on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the National Stadium when Hibernian fans were allowed to invade the field of play and attack Rangers players and staff, who were offered little protection.
  4. Will play in the Under20s I would think.
  5. The latest Lion Brand shirt looks good.
  6. Flying back from Spain while the game was being played. Somebody was sending texts, first message I saw when I turned the phone back on was 3-0 53 mins. First thought was, getting a doing here !!! the rest of the evening was epic.
  7. Under19s in South Africa. RANGES 19’s were desperately unlucky yesterday not to win against top Brazilian team Fluminense at the Durban U19 Tournament. The young Gers went down 4-3 to a contentious penalty in the 3rd minute of injury time which was a shame for the Light Blues who were excellent particularly in the second half. The Gers goals on the day were scored by Zak Rudden, Ross McCrorie and Jordan Gibson. Playing in the U19 tournament in Durban, South Africa, Rangers have now lost both their opening games following a 3-2 defeat to the South African national team earlier in the week. The 19’s could still qualify for the semi final but must rely on South Africa beating Fluminense and Rangers must beat TP Mazembe in their final group game. Head of Academy, Craig Mulholland commented: “After a fairly even 1st half the lads were fantastic second half and thoroughly deserved to win. To lose to a penalty three minutes into injury time was a real shame for the players who put so much energy into the game. “Our coaches Billy Kirkwood, David McCallum and Colin Stewart, who have worked incredibly hard with the players since the start of pre-season, were delighted with the quality of our play and we restricted Fluminense to only 3 efforts at our goal in the second half while we, in addition to the two goals we scored, created several good opportunities that unfortunately we didn’t take. “We dominated the ball second half, pressed with an intensity, were creative in forward areas and maintained our style of play for the 90 minutes. Our fitness levels were excellent, with our data improving each match, which is pleasing for Luke Lawrence our sports scientist on the trip. “It is worth remembering that the majority of the Fluminense players were final year 19’s while we had Stevie Kelly, Jordan Houston, Scott Gray and Zak Rudden all paying as U17’s, two years younger. In fact we only had 3 U19’s starting. “The Fluminense team also contained Brazilian internationals which was a great challenge for our players and demonstrates the level of the tournament. This tournament more than meets the ‘best v best’ objective we have for the education of our young Rangers players. This of course being a key part of our new Academy strategy. “With a bit of luck we would be sitting now on 4 points however unfortunately key moments have went against us late in both games. It has however been a fantastic experience so far and we now recover properly, which is a key part of the players education, do our analysis and prepare professionally for our next match. “All of the lads have done exceptionally well over both games and are relishing the quality of opposition on this trip and rising to the challenge. “Special mention must go to Josh Jeffries, Kyle Bradley and Zak Rudden in particular who have excelled in both games although we are really pleased with all of the lads so far and if the boys can maintain this level of performance at home, despite being one of the youngest U20 teams in the country, it augurs well for the season ahead.”
  8. We were pressed at the back yesterday, something we are not used too. The Hearts, Aberdeens and timmy will be fit enough to follow suit, are our defensive players good enough to play out of defense. There is also the problem that they have to defend as well.
  9. The scandal is they have ignored the attack on players. Hibs should have been penalised within the week, and after the enquiry given further sanctions.
  10. Yep according to twitter. Bradley Orr, one of Joey Barton's agents.
  11. Any shareholders in the USA????
  12. Rossiter at 19 looks a steal, hopefully he will continue to develop.
  13. This shows where we are, Championship and Div1 players against Premier League.
  14. Could do with more pace at centre back and probably up front.
  15. http://club1872.co.uk/news/club-1872-comment-on-sc-final-bans/ Update from Club1872
  16. Should give us a better idea of where we are this season. Defence will need to be on their toes.
  17. I don't see us winning the League. Defense is/has been our weak point for a few seasons, and I'm not sure MW has put enough importance on strengthening it. Will be interesting to see if if he tweeks the system during the season.
  18. I have said from the start they will walk. When was the last case of this kind in Scotland?
  19. I see what you are saying, but a banning is a slur on your character, and if innocent would leave a very bad taste.

  21. http://www.supercupni.com/news/junior-section-rangers-3-1-ms-select.html It was a lovely bright afternoon in Portstewart for the game between Glasgow Rangers and MS Select in the Junior Section of the Super Cup NI. There was everything to play for in this game, with Rangers coming off the back of a win and a draw in their opening 2 fixtures, with MS Select coming off a defeat and win in their opening fixtures. 1st Half The game started brightly, with Rangers trying to stamp their mark early on with a high line and trying to press MS in their own half. It didn’t take long for the first goal to come, but it was MS who took advantage of Rangers’ high line with a long ball from the defence. Arzon Todywalla got on the end of it, showing good strength to hold off his marker to slot it past the on rushing keeper. Straight from the kick off, Rangers took control again and got their passing game going. Billy Gilmour was calling the shots in the midfield. Right back Patterson made a great pass through the middle of MS centre backs to find the impressive Gilmour, who went around the keeper and keep his head to slot the ball home, 1-1. The rest of the half saw Rangers control the game, with half chances falling to Gilmour and the tricky McGinty. MS were still looking a threat in behind the Glasgow side, but couldn’t find the break through before half-time. 2nd Half The half start the way the first ended, with Rangers having all the ball and forcing MS deeper in their own half. Gilmour was still always demanding the ball till get things going. The MS defence was starting to frustrate the Gers, who were reduced to shots from distance from McGinty and Williamson. The first caution of the game went to Aish of MS for a foul on the McGinty, who looked like he had the beating of his man every time he got on the ball. Going into the last 10mins of the game Rangers finally broke down a well organized MS, when McGinty on the right played a ball into Awokoya-Mebude, who lost his footing. Fortunately for Rangers, running in behind was sub McKechnie who made it 2-1. Straight from the kick off Rangers got back in the faces of MS players, getting the ball back, with great piece of individual skill from sub McPake on the left beating 2 players before laying the ball off to McKechnie. The Rangers made no mistake to make it 3-1 with 2 goals in 2minutes. Thhere was little that MS could do in the 2nd half as they began to run out of legs, while Rangers went on till see the remaining minutes out for in the end a comfortable 3-1 win. Report by Liam McBride
  22. Any more on the later games?
  23. If someone runs on the park v Hamilton, they will be apprehended at the time. This is fans being arrested by pics, which could easily lead to mistaken identity.
