  1. Copied this from an Ayr Utd Forum Very good debut from McCrorie looked like he had played with the team for ages, will only get better and I hope we can keep him more than a month. He will definitely pressure the other midfielders for a starting place which will be good for the club. The boy is excellent in the air ideal for central mid I would play him along with Wardrop, Forrest,Docherty, Gilmour. McCalls judgement totally justified. The other Rangers boy playing with Airdrie also played well but if I had choice I would take the boy McCrorie all day long think this boy could go far in my opinion.
  2. I read that he was MOTM today.
  3. Looking at the two stories and how they have been reported in the media, how can anyone say the RST are wrong to highlight this.
  4. Same as myself, I'm blaming my deteriorating memory:p
  5. Thanks to all of you for keeping an old man interested:sleep: I follow some on twitter and will see about the others.
  6. BTW @RyanClerkson: Max Olsson from Malmo was at Ibrox for talks today, only 16 and is a striker.
  7. An idiot right enough. Certainly none of his previous Clubs would employ him again, Forest did and regretted it big time.
  8. Some of the U20s teams should be in the lower divisions.
  9. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-boss-mark-warburton-development-7419877#2rJo4yr5HtAzGrlZ.99 MARK WARBURTON last night insisted Scotland’s Development League does not prepare players for first team football - and has all but pulled the plug on Rangers’ involvement. The Ibrox boss has admitted he couldn’t care less if Gers struggle to win matches below first team level - and is adamant that the only result that matters for his Academy is producing players he can use. The Ibrox boss has revealed that his club will flood the Under 20s league with players from his Under 17 squad and loan out all his best kids to give them a better chance of coming back ready for the Rangers first team. Seven youngsters have been loaned out already and Record Sport can reveal that another two - highly rated Northern Ireland Under 21 midfielder Jordan Thompson and Ross McCrorie will join the exodus in the next week or so. Warburton believes that their development is being stunted by playing in an Under 20’s league that doesn’t matter and although he will use it to give his very young players to the chance to perform against boys who are three years older, the Englishman is in no doubt that those pushing for a first team squad place will benefit from being farmed out. He told Record Sport; “They are not going to make that transition by playing Under 20s games that don’t really mean anything. “I watch the boys walk off and sometimes if they’ve won 2-0 or lost 2-0, you can’t tell the difference. “But if the best young players go out on loan, and it is an appropriate loan in the same way as Arsenal have sent Gedion Zelalem and Spurs have loaned Dom Ball to us, they get to play games that really matter. Rangers boss Mark Warburton: I want my youngsters to be playing against Europe's best like the Celtic kids “They are going up against guys who are fighting for their mortgages and supporting their families. They need to go an experience that, go out on these loans and further their development, as opposed to worrying about winning Under 20 games or Under 17 games. “The last thing we should look at as supporters of Rangers Football Club are results of any game outside of the first team. “As a consequence, we’ll end up playing really, really young players in the Under 20s league and Rangers might not be sitting in the top two of that league. That requires a change in the mindset of everyone at the club - this is a club that has regarded winning as all important at every level in the past. “Supporters will look at that and think this is different, but it is important to realise why we doing that. “We believe it is the right thing to do to challenge these players and kick them on towards the first team. That is the only objective of the Academy - to produce players capable of playing in our first team.” Rangers Academy chief Craig Mulholland added: “We are going to end up with nine players out on loan. They could all be playing in the 20s. We want them playing throughout the leagues in Scotland, where they are playing for points and in front of crowds. “We have seven out at the moment and have plans to send out another two. That’s a big change because previously they’d have been kept at Rangers and used to do well in the Under 20s. “But you look at Barrie McKay, who played in the first team at 17, so he missed that Under 20s stage. Danny Wilson also broke through at that age, so it’s no coincidence that the two who are in the first team at the moment, actually missed the Under 20 development stage. They were challenged daily rather than playing in that league.”
  10. The Crown Office has said it will raise fresh charges against the former Rangers oldco administrators. David Whitehouse and Paul Clark were accused alongside former owner Craig Whyte, 44, ex-chief executive Charles Green, 62, and three other men over a number of allegations relating to their dealings with the club. On Monday, a judge at the High Court in Edinburgh dismissed the remaining charges against the two Duff and Phelps employees. It comes two weeks after the Crown dropped five charges against the pair. The Crown on Monday dismissed charge three on the indictment against the pair, which accused them of not disclosing the identity of a "person engaged in money laundering". The prosecution also deserted the other allegation they faced pro loco et tempore, meaning the procurator fiscal could return to it at a later date. On Monday afternoon, the Crown then released a statement of their intention to bring a fresh indictment against Whitehouse, Clark and Green. A spokesman for the Crown said: "It is not the case that charges have been dropped. "The charges against Paul Clark and David Whitehouse in the current indictment were dismissed. "The Crown will proceed to raise a fresh indictment against Paul Clark, David Whitehouse and Charles Green in due course and within the statutory time limits." Whitehouse and Clark were accused in the charge which was desterted pro loco et tempore of conspiring with Whyte, Green and former Rangers finance director Imran Ahmad to defraud the club’s creditors of funds and assets. It was also alleged in this charge the pair allowed Whyte, Green and Ahmad to acquire the club at "significantly below the true market value". The charge claimed Ahmad paid Clark and Whitehouse an exclusivity fee of £200,000 as the joint administrators of oldco Rangers. Whyte, Green, David Grier, Gary Withey, 51, and Ahmad still face a number of charges relating to their dealings with the club. http://bit.ly/1Qxkz3V
  11. To me that's what they are trying to do. It looks like, don't come up here and tell us what to do, with an undercurrent of, you are taking Rangers upwards. F--- O--.
  12. Hardie going out for a months loan after Waghorns injury, surely means we are looking to bring someone in.
  13. Gough and the Rev. have had plenty of publcity in the media. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/richard-gough-bids-to-become-voice-of-rangers-fans-1-4026991 I wonder who planted the stories ??
  14. I would agree with rbr, MD doesn't help.
  15. 97/100 want/look at joining as one. How many looking for election want RF to stay independent?
  16. To me, you all look as if you are out of touch with your membership.
  17. It looks to me that one Group means less chiefs.
  18. It's surprising when the membership vote by such a margin, so many standing for election are against.
  19. Perhaps it would help if the Club commented.
  20. It would help if those up for election in this vote and any other in the future, would say they would accept the majority vote and work to help those elected. At the moment some sound like the 45's of the SNP.
  21. I'm out. No more Fan Groups for me.
  22. I would ask any person who wants to represent fans, ' if asked while representing me, would you take a seat on the Board of Rangers FC?' If the answer was yes, I wouldn't vote for them.
  23. Not in the RF to ask the question.
  24. You and me. Too many are looking at fan involvement as a way for personal gain and not necessarily monetary.
