I think Wenger would still put Bartley out on loan even if he is in his plans. He wont walk straight into the first team as there is 4 centre halfs ahead of him and wenger likes his promising players to be playing. Even Wiltshire was on loan as recent as last year and Ramsay and Vela are out on loan.

Wenger will probably also see Rangers as a better place for Bartley to develop and not have to worry about puting him on loan to another EPL club to gain high experience. But as much as the CL would be good for Bartley if Wenger got desperate and needed to recall him in an injury crisis then he would be cup tied...but thats unlucky.

The young lad Ramsey came on against Man Utd at the weekend.

Whatever happened to the Barazite (sp?) lad we had on trial? Is he back at Arsenal?

If we're going to play a 19/20 year old for a full season and develop him, wouldn't it be better being one of our own? Is Bartley really a cut above what we have at Murray park? Genuine question.

Weiss is certainly a different proposition as he's definitely a cut above what we have and while his lack of experience restricts his contribution, he's obviously good enough to bring something to the team and so worth sacrificing one of our own.

We'll lose the wage of Weir, who as captain, should be on a decent wage, even at his age. Can't imagine him being on less than 0.5M a year.

Who else is out of contract?

Absolutely. He's able to hold down a starting place.
