Are Lloyds trying to sell Rangers.. or wind them down?

Could the bank also be holding out for the possibility of the renewal figures aswell?

That's a fair point as well mate.

Another £20million of dough incoming over the next few months.

But what difference would that make to anyone Frankie , if the debt is £20 million for arguements sake then that's the debt figure , the season ticket money would make no difference surely

They can reduce the debt further with that cash (if we accept we qualify for the CL) and keep the club asking price the same.

In other words the agreed £31million fee becomes even better value for them/Murray as it has done since last summer.

All depends on how much you reckon their interests are intertwined with those of MIH.

Archie Kane retired from his Lloyds position a few weeks back:

Fullarton has also been retired for a longer period.

Reply from Lloyds RE: my earlier email:

Dear Frankie,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about Rangers Football Club. I am sure you will appreciate that as Rangers is a commercial customer of Lloyds Banking Group there is a limited amount that we can say within the confines of customer confidentiality.

What I can assure you is that we understand the concerns you have, given recent media speculation. Lloyds Baking Group continues to recognise the importance of Rangers FC to its supporters, shareholders and to the wider football industry in Scotland. We remain completely committed to supporting the Board of Rangers FC in their plan to ensure the financial stability of the club.

Any potential sale of the club is a matter for Rangers Football Club and its shareholders. Suggestions that Lloyds Banking Group is blocking a deal to acquire the club are baseless and without foundation.

Kind regards

Ross

I dont see how they can reduce anything as that money is essential to cover running costs , wages etc , even C/L money would take months to filter in .

On a side note has the site been changed again , it looks fantastic now or is it just my computer is months behind

The debt figure quoted takes account of the balance due to the bank, which would obviously be a lot lower once the following season ticket cash has been received. the club's debt is probably at its highest level of the year over the next 6 weeks or so, until the season ticket cash comes rolling in again.

But surely that is working capital mate or`have I got this all wrong , surely if we make a loss without european football they cannot take the season ticket money , that would surely affect the asking price , aggghh my head hurts with this pish
