Lee Wallace will join today: OFFICIAL Wallace signs five year deal

Recommended Posts

Would be a good signing, pleased to see we might have some competition for the left back position :D. Few times last season Papac looked like he could do with a rest. Suppose it also frees Papac up to play in the middle if we require him to do so.

Lee Wallace will be a good signing imho

but would you see his arrivalk if it happens as an indication of Papac being used as cover for central defence ?

Nah, just the long term replacement for Sasa at left-back.

I think that's a good signing and like I said in the other thread, I don't think the fee is that big a problem given his age and SPL experience. Fairly low risk signing and I think we do need "proper" full backs as its an area where we have looked exposed in the last while.

I'd imagine Wallace would come straight in as first choice left back not that I think that would be fair on Sasa but just think Wallace would add something different from Sasa, that's what made me think Papac might be seen as cover for both left back and Centre half positions
