Kris Boyd now a free agent

No matter the circumstances he left in, there's one thing you can't deny! He knew how to score goals, so a normal, decent wage, why not.

In fact, I don't know if it could be done, but I'd put him on a fairly low basic and a very high bonus of £10,000 a goal. Or something like that.

Just imagine, January comes around, Jelavic goes for 8m and we sign three freebies with Boyd, Riordan and O'Connor to replace him! Half of the existing boards members would vanish into orbit in no-time! :D

Matter of fact, if Jelavic goes and we can agree reasonable fees and wages for say Jordan Rhodes and Boyd, as well as adding Jamie Murphy for creativity, I would be happy. In the striking department. Since we still have Lafferty and Hemmings there. We desperately need cover in midfield ... if Ally decides to keep McKay on the bench (he becomes a greater mysterium than Paul Ritchie ever was). Creative midfield that is.

The Scottish Premier League's all-time highest goalscorer has left the club only five months after joining them from Middlesbrough on a lucrative three-year contract.

Boyd's agent, Mark Donaghy, has confirmed that the former Rangers and Scotland striker will be available to join another club in next month's transfer window.

"Kris has triggered a release clause in his contract." Donaghy told Sky Sports News.

"His contract has been terminated because of late payments and a legal process is now under way. He will now head back to the UK."

It's believed Boyd has yet to receive a monthly salary from Eskisehirspor after he received a signing-on fee in July.

Eskisehirspor are currently five points behind leaders Galatasaray, and are understood to have made repeated requests for Boyd to stay.

Boyd, 28, featured in just two games for Eskisehirspor during his stint with the club - playing just 76 minutes of football all season.

Even if Jelavic doesn't leave in the upcoming window, Boydy has to be back where he belongs. Smashing in goals by the bucketload for the Most Successful Team of All Time. He has had his little adventure but he knows where he is truly loved. Plus he can get Laugherty out of the way which is also a bonus

As I said, would take him back in a second and would prefer Boyd over Miller any day of the week.

And when the fat arse doesn't score goals and goes on a dry spell which he does, we are playing with 10 men. As for Boyd before Miller the least said about comment the better.
