Blue Knights Statement on Rangers Football Club

Recommended Posts

Leggo is fast becoming a parody of the people he writes about , he completly changes track at a moment notice , only last week he wrote about Ticketus and their deal being nul and void

David Leggat has a long article about Paul Murray and Ticketus today. It makes sense to me, not that Iam diggesting it all without the proverbial pinch of salt. In any case, we should not look at each and every bidder that happens by with the doom-and-gloom glasses either. We sure suffered these last few months, but not all out there are solely trying to get us done or something in their favour.

I'm afraid it will take more than the meandering ramblings of Craig Whyte's former cheerleader in chief to persuade me of the merits of the BK's and Ticketus.

Whoever owns Rangers FC come the end of March/ beginning of April, will have to have 100% certainty on the legality of Ticketus claim to own a percentage of the season tickets so that they know what will happen to the revenue from sales IF they decide to sell season tickets.

So from that point of view it would make sense for Ticketus to curry favour with any prospective buyer and they would want the fan's groups onside to give the whole thing an air of respectability and authority.

However, if no other consortium is gong down the same route and no other consortium is prepared to offer the fan's groups anything (and why would they unless they have something concrete to put on the table) then that tells its own story does it not.

Is there a chance that there's small print and that they could actually claim the gate revenue from ticket sales if the fans decide not to buy season ticker en-mass?

That is my concern but whether such a clause would be enforceable particularly against new owners is another matter.
