Blue Knights Statement on Rangers Football Club

Recommended Posts

In a way I do too, he's certainly not the devil incarnate that some would like us to think. I'm not naive enough to think he was in this for the good of the club just that his aim and mine as a fan is basically the same thing. HMRC and historic debts and contracts left behind and Rangers to emerge from the other side of insolvency.

We're not that far away from that outcome at this point.

I think it's despite his regime rather than because of that we have reached our current possible recovery.

If we do get through all this, I would appreciate the truth about why he took us over emerging - and I suspect he'll admit he took us over to take us into administration and was probably paid to do so. Remember, the one act which took us into admin was him not forwarding the PAYE tax.

The wife's always right.

So I keep getting told.

  1. Is entirely possible but if that is the case and you are Ticketus why would you join the consortium?

  2. I think this is much more likely. None of those mentioned has "serious" money except King and he has his own problems e.g. if you considered that you were "fit and proper" why would you ask the question? However, whilst joining with Ticketus might relieve the season ticket issue in some way, is it likely that they would say give up say half the £24M or put in new money? So how does that help them do a deal? The RST has 50,000 shares (0.08%) and say £100,000+ in Gersave, that won't buy a seat at the table. A long term plan to raise money (such as that proposed in 2010) might do that.

Ticketus are on the back foot. Ordinarily they transact with clubs and remain in the background but in this case they are front and centre. I suspect they are trying to seem friendly and positive and willing to be partners rather than be a company that brings down a football club, or at least has a significant role in it. Who would want to do business with them ever again with that track record? This way if they are part of the solution then they have a positive spin to put on events.

Even if they are willing to work with us going forward, I'd rather we didn't deal with them at all. But I suspect they have the ability to tie us in legal knots for quite some time so perhaps that is the hardball strategy they will be employing behind the scenes. Given the RST, RSA and the BK are cooperating with them, maybe this is the best short term strategy??

Has there been any communication from the different fans groups as to why they're backing Murray's consortium? I've not seen anything from RST and am still a member, so would be good to hear why they've chosen to back this horse so to speak.

I believe it's the only one that they are aware of that would discuss fan ownership with them.

I wish Dingwall would remove himself from anything to do with Rangers as IMO he's a huge reason why we can't get harmony between the fans. Anytime i see his name mentioned it's negative, plus he totally contradicts what the administrators say. D+Surely they will not have disclosed who the other prospective buyers are? As for him to say,"It's the blue knights or liquidation" means he's been shown the financial clout, or lack of it of the other UK and Global interested parties.

I thunk he's a stone cold liar and is using the BK to get himself in the boardroom.

As of now the BK can whistle as far as i personally am concerned. There' far too many alarm bels ringing, especially the one with the bright red light above it warning me about Dingwalls ego

David Leggat has a long article about Paul Murray and Ticketus today. It makes sense to me, not that Iam diggesting it all without the proverbial pinch of salt. In any case, we should not look at each and every bidder that happens by with the doom-and-gloom glasses either. We sure suffered these last few months, but not all out there are solely trying to get us done or something in their favour.

he does make a fair point, but still, his buffonery in the past always makes it hard for me to take what he says seriously
