Chairman of the other clubs may talk tough but I would suggest the bank managers of the vast majority of them will be on the phone to them "strongly advising" them to vote us back in or face the consequences. In recent years the attraction of four OF games has brought Sky TV on board. Do you really think the SPL will throw all that away? I very much doubt it. That's why they weren't willing to entertain the idea of switching to a bigger league when having discussions on it a year or so ago. There's a lot of Scottish football fans who would like them to restructure the SPL to a 16 or 18 team league (16 team league is actually the favourite), but they aren't willing to do it because the existing SPL clubs don't want less games against Rangers and Celtic and the broadcasters don't want less Old Firm games. I really can't see a significant enough number of clubs voting against us playing in the SPL next season because it would leave too many of the clubs in financial trouble. Yep, and there's a fair chance that they'll manage to do exactly that. They'll vote us back into the SPL but cripple us with sanctions. We're just going to have to accept what they hit us with because we can't afford to voluntarily go down to the 3rd division or anything like that. It doesn't make sense to even be talking about it.
