Dave King no longer "restraint"

Recommended Posts

Simplistic or not it's true.

Hardly. He spend 20m of his (?) money when we were on a high. When we were sailing into the abyss, the only thing he did was shooting at all and sundry, but did nothing to save us. After Green & Co. took over, all his verbal attacks continued. And these were IMHO far more severe than anything Walter or Hart ever did. While he was and still is neck-deep in tax trouble himself. Sure, some well-informed people on here will tell or have already told us that SARS do this unjustly, but the amount of cases thrown at him do suggest that he's not a white knight either. There is also no doubt that SARS et al are doing their work properly, but that was and is not expected anyway ... just look how our EBT stuff is being dragged out and on.

In any case, the question remains whether this bit of info is worth the furore, as he is - by the looks of it - still unable to invest anything. IMHO just another bit of negative journalism, pointing at a previous investor's tax-problems.

Taken from FF but does this mean he is in the clear?

Looks like he's won Round 1 and it may take 5 years for Round 2 to commence if it ever does, so not quite out of the woods yet.

King may be a lot of things but he's nobody's fool.

Took a fair bit of stick for going against the grain and stating that liquidation was the inevitable outcome of the administration process early on.

Yes his, by the use of the question mark you're insinuating that it's someone else's £20m, pray tell whose if not Kings?

When we were sailing into the abyss, the only thing he did was shooting at all and sundry, but did nothing to save us. After Green & Co. took over, all his verbal attacks continued. And these were IMHO far more severe than anything Walter or Hart ever did.

I don't think anything said or done by King, Smith or Hart was out of order in any way shape or form for they all undoubtedly have Rangers at heart.

While he was and still is neck-deep in tax trouble himself. Sure, some well-informed people on here will tell or have already told us that SARS do this unjustly, but the amount of cases thrown at him do suggest that he's not a white knight either.

Your own link proves that far from being "neck deep in tax trouble" he is now at worst waist deep and at best standing on dry ground, no?

There is also no doubt that SARS et al are doing their work properly, but that was and is not expected anyway ... just look how our EBT stuff is being dragged out and on.

I take it that's a typo and you in fact mean not doing their job properly.

In any case, the question remains whether this bit of info is worth the furore, as he is - by the looks of it - still unable to invest anything.

That's incorrect, he's always had the ability to invest and do business here albeit with the permission of the court as demonstrated by the unwinding of Murray Sports Limited for which King sought and was granted the permission of the court otherwise it could not have been facilitated.

IMHO just another bit of negative journalism, pointing at a previous investor's tax-problems.

Which begs the question why start a thread with it in the first place?

A Rangers fan who spunked 20m of his own cash on us and he's not welcome yet a non Rangers fan whose sole intention is to take millions out of us is thought of as some sort of Messiah.

It's a f*&ked up world.

To be fair, Green only wants around £2million out. Preferably before Christmas, as is his own oft stated deadline.
