Green plans Rangers wage cap

Recommended Posts

I think another 8 players should be more than enough strength for us to win the SPL. I would also agree with others that this would take meticulous scouting and not just buying players based on how well-known they are which we seem to do. Celtic beat us by signing unknown gems. We sign well-known has beens who are looking for an easy ride out of football.

yes but they signed around 30 of them for much more than 12 million all in.

& they don't need them all.

If we kept our current squad and signed 8 decent players then we would be strong contenders for the title whether they have 30 players or not..

Aye, but they are lying about attendances.. who knows what else they are lying about? Didn't Lawwell say they had to cut costs last year?

The dept budgets are cut to the bare bone at Savco, they are in just as much trouble as the rest of football. Without the CL money for season they would've had to sell bigtime, may still have to in Jan.

It's not GCC's stadium. There would be an outcry the length & breadth of this country if a club got taxpayers money to do this. The opening ceremony could easily be moved.

No m8 as I understand things, it's going back nearly 20 years as to how it got safety certificates in the first place. Remember the old CP with the smallish jungle ? it was small for safety reasons with entrances/exits around cemetery at rear. There was of course larger terraces behind goals. The old board said rebuilding CP would be difficult & started looking at other sites as u may recall. Then this 60,000 stadium got built, albeit on the cheap. Who approved it? say no more

they are allegedly already paying for upgrades around the area and stadium. no outcry, nothing.

i know what you mean mate about their stadium opening and being built on the cheap.

ive been hearing that for years and years.

And for years and years they have had to pull it out the bag with a big sale, or one of those soft loans from Dirty Des never mind that Lennoxtown is mortaged to the hilt.

They can not keep that high wage bill going, and they can afford to cut because they shafted us down the divisions to give them time to cut costs and still win the league.

Do you think Liewell would've got away with the cuts needed if we were still in the SPL winning the league.
