Further to previous announcements concerning the investigation by Rangers International Football Club plc ("Rangers") into any connections between Craig Whyte and former and current personnel of Rangers and its subsidiaries, Pinsent Masons, the law firm conducting the investigation, have engaged a Queen's Counsel, Roy Martin QC, to oversee the independent investigation.

I thought Malcolm Murray had been discussing the remit with a high profile businessman, so said Keith Jackson.

Who wanted a QC who deals in property matters?

Are property matters not at the heart of this issue though ?

Should have got Donald Findlay QC to conduct it ............................. now there is a man who would have the best interests of the club at heart.

and as a well known Rangers fan, any findings that looked good for us would be scoffed at by our detractors, hence the need for someone independent.

I would suggest that the people who are important as regards the results of this inquiry are the Rangers board and management, and the Rangers support. Whether a detractor or not, the rest can go run up our collective humpfs.

He would be a sound adviser for our legal department et al. A staunch defender of the club too.
