Rangers Salute Sir Alex

Recommended Posts

His Aberdeen team ruined my teenage years. His arrogance knows no limits and he considers himself above laws and rules that apply to everyone else. He's a hypocrite of the highest order and I hate the man and all his works. To see the media treating him like a saint is stomach churning.

There are few better days in my life than the one in 1986 when me, my brother, my dad and my uncles were crammed into the East Enclosure to see Souness's Rangers stuff Ferguson's Aberdeen. That was the end of the New Firm there and then. Just a shame that Palace didn't win the FA Cup as they deserved to in 1990 and earn Ferguson his P45.

No tears shed here.

He is FAR from the only one in football to be like that. Many are and, interestingly, they are usually the successful ones.

Further, his arrogance is well earned - his record with St Mirren, Aberdeen and Utd speaks for itself. The man, whether you despise him or not, has very much earned his right to the arrogance you suggest he has.

There's a fine line between arrogance and confidence. When you mix confidence with a winners mentality, its only natural that those who don't share your success will point you out as arrogant.

Not a hard and fast rule but it works for me.

Whether you like Ferguson or not, he's done a terrific job and accomplished something that will be unparalleled for years to come. Respect where it is due.

I suspect it will be unparrallelled forever
