Bocanegra eager to find a new club instead of suiting up in the Scottish third flight

The agent for Racing Santander loan defender Carlos Bocanegra says his client is sorting through potential destination for a summer move, both back home and abroad.

 

The 33-year-old centre back, who still has four games remaining with the Segunda División survivalists, is due to revert back to being a Rangers player at the end of June. However, Bocanegra appears eager to find a new club instead of suiting up in the Scottish third flight until his contract runs out at the end of next season.

Not bothered one little bit. We cannot afford to keep him on our books. Hopefully him, Goian and Alexander will all be away in the summer.

Would be best for both parties if he moved on. I do however suspect he'll find it difficult to get the Rangers wages he is on elsewhere. For that reason he may well end up back at Rangers

What Cotter said, only if we could afford him. The defence has been shaky all season and just hasnt seemed to gel. Cribari, Argy and Faure need to improve a lot and stop acting like strangers with each other. They may do that next season with a full pre season in the summer. But Boca's experience and qualities would be a boost next season.

Football fans are a fickle bunch. 6 months ago when he was interested in playing for us again we were all delighted he was coming back. Now he's apparently not interested in is he can move on because he's not that good.
