When building a team, it was always, get the spine of your team right.

Ally seems to be doing it the other way round.

But then recent Rangers managers have been criticised for having no width...

the notion we are loosing a million a month is spurious and based on us loosing 7 million in the first 6 months but that included several large one off costs.

I really can't see us losing 12m a year. We've already cut our player costs by something like £28m a year and with other lower costs we should get by on a turnover of about £20-25m. I'm sure gate receipts alone must be at least £15m.

It may well be but, at this moment in time, we'll be losing money hand over fist with no income to speak of.

That will be the same for most clubs but we need solutions soon.

But surely that is budgeted for out of season ticket and other up front income? Surely we have SOME kind of budget control? Income in the close season is a perennial situation, not something we should be needing to scramble about to find solutions now.

There's not much that can be done bar friendlies or selling players...

If our costs are directly proportional to our size then with a 90% full stadium, how do most other clubs survive?

Not overly keen on the idea of this happening but have heard that we have approached Darren Barr from Hearts

I thought Barr was decent when he was at Falkirk but he hasn't progressed as well at Hearts. He's 28 now and surely solid enough for SFL2. What's happened to our rumoured interest in Andre Bikey? Too expensive?
