Green Demands 'Gers Showdown - The Sun

We were warned about Whyte, but most refused to believe the warnings. FFS a judge called him a liar yet was ignored.

We want to believe everything at Ibrox is rosy, and woe betide anybody who says otherwise.

Clearly Whyte's c*&titude wasn't patently obvious from the start, otherwise more people would have noticed it. He did everything to obscure his past record. There was a mass of misinformation and picking the genuine facts out of the media was impossible for most people.

Whilst Whyte may have managed to obscure some of his failures he couldn't manufacture any successes the complete lack of anything remotely constituting a track record of successfully running any business allied to his modus operandi of liquidating companies and stiffing the creditors should have been enough to anyone. In this day and age it's really not that hard to do your own research

The average punter doesn't see the shit coming until it hits the fan. It's not they're fault, they're sports enthusiasts, not business analysts.

Each to their own but that doesn't mean those who do have an interest and understanding should just act like the three wise monkeys too does it.

Simply because as Lincoln said," You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time".

Why are you throwing "conspiracy" into the mix it's far,far simpler than that it's simply people looking after their own interests and putting them before the club it's that simple it's all about maximising their filthy lucre.

Well, you can give yourself a pat on the back for remaining unfooled, but it won't do the club much good.

Call it a conspiracy, call it greed, call it what you will. If you feel strongly about it, what are you going to do about it?

I think those at the Club with our best interests at heart probably know these things, but what can they do, not a lot.

Once Whyte had bought the club what could we, as fans, realistically have done? Other than get pissed off sooner.

The point I'm trying to make is that posting dire predictions about a regime on an internet forum is about as much use as ignoring the situation.

It is probably similar to those who go utterly bonkers on fan-boards about e.g. the Yahoos giving every IRA-oke they know a laldy, both in Scotland and Europe. Unless you do to them what they did to us, i.e. report them en masse to UEFA, you could just as well ignore it and stay quiet. Amongst the army of Scum-haters (sic!) on the boards, you can probably count the hardy souls who actually do something on a couple of hands. And that's something being done rather simply, not something to oust a criminal that leads your club from his ivory tower.

Craig Whyte has been criticised by a sheriff for giving "wholly unreliable" evidence during a court case over an outstanding debt.

How does that roll with King being called by a judge (king that some are still proposing as a saviour) ; Southwood said the court had seen King testify for four days and “are unanimous in finding that he is a mendacious witness whose evidence should not be accepted on any issue unless it is support by documents and other objective evidence”.

“It was remarkable that King showed no sign of embarrassment or any emotion when he conceded that he had lied to the (Sars) commissioner in a number of his income tax returns. In our assessment, he is a glib and shameless liar.”

Do what I've always done and attend the meetings and ask the questions.

Yes, but rest assured that quite a few will chip in and say that SARS people and RSA judges cannot be reasonably used here, as they are biased and corrupt and whatnot. Scottish sheriffs though ... well, they tell you that Scum supporters do nobody and harm singing songs in praise of terrorists, while sentencing Bluenoses for singing Loyalist stuff?

In an ideal world I wouldn't want King as owner of Rangers.

All we can do whether it's Whyte, King or McColl is see how they deal with the position as owner of Rangers, we then call it as we see it.
