Number one running away with it and rightly so.....

 

A silk scarf should be about class, and should IMO be something you can wear anywhere, which you can with number 1. The rest just look like footy scarves, scarves you would only wear to a game.

My good old 1950s reefer still sits in the wardrobe. There was an expensive version of it in silk with the crest motive repeated and for the toffs there was a blue silk number, no red and white, just the crest repeated in gold.

My late uncle bequeathed me the silk scarf. It was absolutely beautiful. I wore it to one game and felt like a millionaire. Clothes makesth man, indeed.

 

It is to my undying shame that I lost it. I can handle chucking out my programme, videos and strip collections from the 1980s and 1990s, we had no room and a young family, but the scarf...it pains me to this day.
