Statement to RIFC Shareholders from Murray et al and Fan Groups

Recommended Posts

Would assume that at this moment and time Somers and Wallace are digging through tons of paperwork, shareholder issues and the like, to actually get a picture how this all came about and how it can be solved/improved. Apart from doing their normal jobs.

BTW, if they talk to fans, what should they tell them? The questions will be the same as before. Whyte involved? Green involved? Where's the money, what do you want to do? Are they actually able to give a satisfactory answer already? What would a satisfactory answer be? To us normal people/fans, the answers might be easily coming. I doubt it is just as easy for these people though. You don't just whip up multimillion pound investments over the cause of a month or two?

They could tell us that they are digging through tons of paperwork, to get a picture of how this all came about. They could even tell us once they have finished they will tell the Supporters as much as they can. They could even tell us what their plans are for the future of the Club. Perhaps they could tell us that the contracts that have been signed in the last 2 years will be looked at to see if Rangers are getting the best deal possible.

It actually looks as if the present Board couldn't care less if the Fans vote for them or not, which perhaps is the most worrying aspect of the whole thing.

It would be a greatly disappointing if we ended up haveing to starve the incumbents out but it may come to that for the good of the club.

How much damage has been done to us in the last year? We wont know until the contracts etc are examined but we can stop the rot before its terminal hopefully.

Do the current board not hold all the cards in terms in voting numbers, share percentages etc?

Until the requisitioners are actually prepared to invest something to get rid of who's there now. I honestly see this situation just repeating itself over and over again while the present incumbents bleed us dry.

The current board could come out and say that whyte isnt involved, green isn't involved, they are looking at contracts and such, some people still wouldn't be happy, some people just want PM, MM, probably martin vain and such back at any cost.

They don't want a democratic vote.

no i don't think so nor do the requisitioners. we will see at the agm.

if they bleed us dry and in reality they already have we would be better going bust again and being refinanced properly (legally) this time.

the only people who have tried to stop a democratic vote are the current board.

I agree not much more they can do to bring in more money

But if it really is at that stage and we the fans decide to start with boycotts etc. Could the board not just say to hell with this and sell Ibrox, Murray Park to anyone that wanted it and wind up the club?

Which is kind of the same position we are in already as if King, McColl and the likes put enough money in to gain control that's what would happen anyway.

If people can just put their misguided preconceptions aside for a moment, it looks like a complete no brainer to vote for the kind of governance that the requisitioners are proposing.

With transparency will come trust and with that restored then we can start to look at the future with a bit more positivity, I don't get the calls for McCollco to reveal future plans and investment figures. The first job is to get rid of the leeches who are sucking the life out of the club now. To be able to plan effectively they first have to understand just how much of a basket case they'd be inheriting.
