Kings not stupid he's playing a game he realises it'll take massive investment to compete with Celtic and he'll not be prepared to write off 50+ million in my opinion.

We really need to get to a point where we fund ourselves, I think Wallace is talking a good game just now, I just hope he backs it up with actions

Totally agree with CalScot & CD- had King done what many want and flung (say) £20m at Rangersd before now, every penny of it would have been pissed away.

Where's the sense in that? We should be grateful various boards/challengers were incompetent enough not to impress him enough to get his wallet out because afaics it's only King and his wonga which is between us and continuing financial woes. And we'll get one go at his money, so it better count.

For King to buy shares he needs to put money up, current shareholders just aren't going to disappear.

The next time I hear from King I want him to make good on his promises to invest. So far, there seems no indication that we are going to reduce the main first team squad. There is no indication that the current investors don't want Ally or any plans he has for the squad. Neither is there any indication that they don't want to invest.

What the CEO does is looking at the business and wants it to live within its means, all over the club and the company.

As for King not coming to a deal with the directors at the time, we should keep in mind that this was pre-AGM. King could easily have bought up shares at the current low market price to get a foot into the club and have a say, even if he might not be able to be a director himself.

You come out with the same shit every time King's name appears.

Go read up on the laws of supply and demand and the rules of the Stock Market.

Someone was willing to sell 2.3m shares to that Hedge Fond for what, 600k? Similar stuff went before that. And there are shares in the market still, even if not similar large chunks. I wonder what the new shares will cost. Obviously, the money spend on shares now will not necessarily (if at all) end with the club. But it would end that these shares are being used for more board-games.

He's tried to but been stopped.

What would he or rangers gain from that?

Exactly Andy and I'd add that I think it's completely counter-productive to be critical of Dave King for not investing yet.
