I share the concerns of those who are worried that Ally McCoist will be in charge of spending around £30m in the next few years.

King will be making a huge mistake if he pumps money into the club to have it spent by an unrated manager. It will be a waste of his money and cause an unnecessary delay in our recovery.

If Dave King and friends spend £30-50m and Rangers don't win the league, the cupboard will be bare again when Ally is finally shown the door.

A managerial change is essential before new money comes in.

We simply cannot afford to have another pile of cash wasted.

Wow.

Man offers major investment....

Reaction on forum........Ally out. Mental.

If he's prepared to put that amount of cash in, he's entitled to pick the team himself if he wants. Let's wait and see what Mr Wallace has planned. How many days has he got left of his grace period? King's played a blinder.

Dave King vows to press ahead with plans to save Rangers

Dave King: I've already lost £20m in Rangers.. and I'm prepared to lose another £30m to save club I love

By Keith Jackson

THE exiled businessman, who spoke exclusively to Record Sport, insisted he'll see his plan through to save Rangers even if it costs him more this time round.

DAVE KING last night promised to press ahead with his plan to save Rangers even if it costs him another £30million.

The exiled businessman spoke exclusively to Record Sport from his South African base after returning there to consider his next move in the bid to rescue the financially-troubled club.

King last month threatened to lead a fans’ revolt that involved withholding season ticket cash to force the current regime to its knees – only to appear to then soften his position after holding peace talks with the board.

But the ex-Ibrox director, below, who lost a £20m fortune when the club went bust in February 2012, spoke out yesterday to underline his determination to finish the job he has started.

And he insisted he’ll see it through to the end even if it costs him more this time round.

King said: “I’ve lost £20m in Rangers already and I’m happy to lose another £30m as I love the team. I don’t want to be arrogant but it might be easier for me to lose £30m than it is for some fans to afford season tickets.

“Some of them struggle to put shoes on their kids’ feet but they buy season tickets because they love Rangers.

“I am the same. I just happen to be in a more fortunate position and I want to do something about it. I am not going away. “

King confirmed his intention to give the Rangers hierarchy and chief executive Graham Wallace enough time to complete a review of the business, which needed to secure £1.5m of emergency funding in February just to stave off another financial trauma.

In an explosive Q&A he has also urged anxious Rangers fans to put their protests on hold until Wallace has delivered his blueprint while, at the same time, sinking the boot into the board for securing that hugely expensive loan deal with hedge fund firm Laxey Partners.

He has warned of moral and legal consequences should Wallace now go back on a pledge NOT to slash Ally McCoist’s budget for next season’s Championship campaign.

And he has insisted the club’s current £6m wage bill may have to be quadrupled in little more than a year’s time, when he hopes Rangers will be returning to the top flight of the Scottish game.

King insists he is ready to personally plough enough cash into the club’s coffers to cover those huge costs – so long as the board issue the shares that will allow him to take control.

He added: “As long as there are people like me – and even if I carry the burden on my own – then Rangers will get back to where it belongs.

“I have had discussions with my family and told them, ‘This is your inheritance I’ll be spending’. And even though they are all South Africans they have said, ‘Dad, go for it!’

It's all very well making this about the Ally but without this level of investment we won't attract a new manager of any quality. Nor do we just need players. We have a loan to repay we have edminson house to do up. We need scouts. Youths. Etc.

Even today we are filling up our u 20 squad with dross just to make up numbers while Celtc are cherry picking talent for theirs.

My last season books cost 500 quid ish. I got to watch mcgregor weir Jela Davis naisy etc. Before that gazza gough Laudrup. People won't keep paying 500 to watch black law Daly etc.

If this board chase dave king away again he may stop coming back eventually. We may need to act here and forcibly.
