Yep, one of quite a few decent enough strikers we had back then ... only that our first team was "loaded" with quality in that department at the time (and managers were as reluctant as nowadays to blood youngsters even for 20 mins).

Dobbie is on loan to Fleetwood Town, thus ending his years in the wilderness! :D

Always thought there was something strange about this, why would anybody sanction contracts where so many end at the same time?

I actually don't think that is a bad thing as we can now choose who we really want to keep. It would be worse if we had a lot of donkey's sitting on high contracts and sitting in the stands.

Lets hope these players whose contracts finish at the end of season don't decide to down tools before the end of the season...

We are losing money now with nothing coming in, how are we going to afford new players? The ones we want to keep can ask for silly money.

Surely we don't want to keep any of them mate? Boyd at a push is about it. The rest are not nearly good enough for where we will need to be.

The whole lot of them should be told at the beginning of January that no new deals or contract extensions will be discussed until after we win the Championship.

The whole squad needs to believe they at least have a chance of new contracts or extensions if they want to stay, but none of them should be promised anything other than being told 'let's win the league, then we'll talk'.

This culture of handing out contract extensions in December & January only to pay players off 6 months later has got to stop.
