He has also put is some pretty rank performances against pub teams over the past few years. I'm just not convinced he is as good as many Rangers fans think he is. Realistically, could he command a fee much beyond £1m to £1.5m ?? I don't think so. I'm not sure what point you're making, Falkirk are in the same division as us and Norwich are in the same division as Brentford. McGrandless had played more first team games than MacLeod has. As such it seems to be the going rate for promising midfielders in our division. If we were still in the third division and sold Macleod for the going rate there, would you have considered that good business? I don't know how he will get on there. All I said was that most Scottish players in this situation don't tend to do very well. Look at McCabe who was a standout for us at a higher level and spent last season in league 2 in England. That doesn't mean that this is good business. He has shown plenty promise and £1m will disappear in seconds down a black hole. A rareity - most have gone on to be sold for less than we punted them for. And I still believe McLeod will fall into this category.
