Summer 2015 - Transfers and Rumours Thread

Recommended Posts

Someone needs to have a long chat with Nicky's dad Sandy and find out how on earth he and Allan Johnston managed to get 41 goals out of Nicky in the 2012/13 season. I think it's probably just down to him having been getting great service from the likes of Carmichael and Lyle, two players who've caused us a lot of problems this season.

Same reason Sandaza got 18 in the SPL the season before he joined and Boyd got 22.

Having looked at the players at the end of their contracts (excluding the loanees) there isn't one id keep on regardless of the division we are in. The number of players out of contract is a blessing and gives us a great chance to start building a new squad. Plenty of wages will be freed up. Obviously if we do the tricky task today and get promotion it becomes a tough job to get quality through the door. But if we are in the championship again a fresh manager and coaching team should come in and be given the opportunity to build a new team and squad for the long term. - Something that should have been done 3 years ago.

May as well close the thread then.

There can be no actual transfers(no window)

Rumours? Just another name for lies and wishful thinking.

This is summer 2015, not 2013 and 2014 ... and even then we were linked to and signed players. The coming week will be interesting.

Main point is that people noting the thread having new posts akes them opening it in anticipation, ony to realise that much is again just player or manager bashing et al. We've got dozens of other threads for that though.

It may surprise you but Im fully aware of what year it is.

If your reply was simply to belittle me, then you must try harder.

Please continue with this fantasy of a thread.

Can we keep it to transfers rumours and actual transfers in here lads? Cheers!

There's no way you can stop discussions breaking out in transfer rumours thread dB, so please don't even try to.

You made your own bed here. We had rumours about and signed NINE players in 2013, we had rumours and signed another threesome or so in 2014. The thread is aimed at summer 2015, not May 2015. So there are no lies and wishful thinking and whatnot involved. We will be linked with players and sign players as well, with a new boardroom and owners in place. So tell me again why one should close the thread right now?

I'm asking for common sense, rather than stopping any debate. You know what we will get and have already seen. McCoist was rubbish, McCall is rubbish ... and rest assured, no matter who will be the next manager he will be rubbish for some and sign rubbish for these same people and others as well. Wow, what level we will end up with ... but if you wish, I'll refrain from commenting on it.

Snce both have a year to run on their contracts, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will want a fee.
