The Summer Transfer Rumour Round-up Thread

Recommended Posts

A few murmurs on FF that elsewhere we are rumour-linked with Marouane Chamakh, a freebie these days:

EDIT:

... hm.

Not according to this he's not (and I hope he's not):

What is he not? The article clearly says that he's out of contract soonish (that was in March16). And the BBC's confirmed it ...

NB: Seems to have been played as a midfielder ar CP, rather than a striker: https://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=82&story=6316

Somewhere else ...

Brighton and Hove Albion's deal to sign Alex Pritchard from Spurs ruined by late interest from Norwich

Albion's club record-breaking deal to sign Alex Pritchard from Spurs has been hijacked at the eleventh hour by Championship rivals Norwich City. :wtf2:

The Seagulls had agreed a fee with Tottenham and personal terms with Pritchard and his agent.

The deal has been undone by an apparent last-ditch illegal approach for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder. knueppel.gif

Albion cannot compete with the wages on offer from Norwich, who benefit from parachute payments after relegation from the Premier League. heulen.gif

It now seems likely Pritchard will join the Canaries instead, although fuming Albion have not entirely given up hope of still landing a player manager Chris Hughton planned to use in the No.10 role behind a main striker.

They whisper of 8m being offered by Brighton and Hove Albion (FFS)!
