If he had his preferred options and he hadn't managed to "baws up" the last campaign they wouldn't be near the side. He has been forced into picking them by circumstance and outstanding form from both of them. Tbh, we won't qualify from the WC group and he will be toast before the end of the campaign anyway. Tannochsidebear 2,320 Posted May 12, 2016 Share Posted May 12, 2016 If pre-season starts on June 16, and this meaningless friendly is on June 4, what sort of rest or holiday does that give them? If we give them an extra week or two to have a proper rest after these games, then they will be behind the rest of the squad going into very important Euro qualifiers (hopefully!) Given they have both played almost every game this season, rest is more important than some training with the National side (they aint going to be playing lets face it apart from perhaps 20 minutes as a sub).
