ian1964 10,440 Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 The 42 member clubs of the SPFL met today at the league’s Annual General Meeting and elected the six club representatives who will serve on the SPFL Board for the year ahead. The SPFL Board includes three Ladbrokes Premiership representatives, two from the Ladbrokes Championship and one covering Ladbrokes League 1 and Ladbrokes League 2. Frankie 8,182 Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) Like any political vote, there will have been some lobbying and canvassing so it seems most likely Robertson didn't feel he had enough support. Also, IIRC, pre-2012, Rangers and Celtic apparently swapped board members every two years so it may be we've been promised a free run in two years time by not contesting this year. He said he had a word with other SPFL Reps, so either a deal was done. Where Rangers will get an elected Rep sometime down the line, or he was bluntly told no Rangers Rep will get elected any time soon?
