The louts sprayed “F*** U Thomson” on a shutter door outside Tannadice Stadium’s Centenary Suite. And they also wrote “Possil loyalists bash was here” beside on a stand on the opposite side of the ground in Dundee. The eyesores appeared around the time the Ibrox side were playing United’s city rivals Dundee at nearby Den’s Park on Saturday. Today the fans of both Dundee clubs slammed those responsible. A Dees fan said: “I’ll have a wee laugh at United, join in the banter, give and take the wind ups but this vandalism by mindless morons who follow Rangers is unacceptable.” While one Arab posted online: “Tannadice covered in filth by the animals.” Thompson became a hate figure among Rangers fans when the oldco club was liquidated in 2012. He was widely blamed for scuppering their bid to be fast tracked into the Premiership – condemning them to start again in the Third Division. Rangers fans blamed (without any real evidence) for some graffiti which, in the grand scheme of things, is pretty tame - and certainly falls short of what I'd consider "vile". But as has been mentioned is mockery of a disaster which killed 66 innocent people including kids on the same level as a fuck u? Apparently some appear to think so. The chances are that out of tens of thousands there may be no more than a couple to a handful of such retards in there yet that's what gets us acres of bad publicity about it. If they learn that the fans around them will turn on them for tarnishing the good name of the club that will knock it on the head. This report is from the Sun. Neither Police Scotland nor any club official from the Dundee clubs have commented on the source of this graffiti. You are willing to blame, and out, Rangers' fans without proof. You'll remember the Arab fans' reaction to Thomson in the summer?
