[FT] Rangers 5 (Holt 33; Halliday 62; Waghorn 63, 71, 83) - 0 Queen of the South

I thought that goal from Halliday and McKay was a good footballing goal. McKay certainly raised the tempo in the last third.

Good use of the squad by the gaffer.

Hodson will give MW something to think too, as he was a more than able sub for Wallace (despite being a right back by trade). MW probably expected QotS to come out in the second half, so sending McKay on to feed off Kranjcar and Forrester was clever. Well executed goals and it could have been more, had e.g. the three chips been a little higher. Forrester was immense too, O'Halloran's running essential, Waghorn needed the goals to get going ... and going he was. Halliday marshalled the midfield and the defence worked well enough again as a unit. Once we do get rolling, we can tear teams apart. Good night for confidence as well, much needed.

Sure, it was "but" QotS, but IMHO they are not much worse than Accies, Killie or Ross County.

And you have to laugh at the exuberant ones over in Edinburgh who will be playing QoS on Saturday. The claim is that Rangers are 'pish' so anybody being slaughtered by them is even worse.

Even after being beaten at home by Ayr on Saturday they are fantasising that this drubbing means QoS are useless and they will easily beat them despite the fact no one in that league has managed to beat them far less drub them.

How sweet if QoS now give them a hiding on Saturday to go 4 points clear in the Championship.
