[FT] St Johnstone 1 - 1 Rangers (McKay 23)

I would have no problems with Dodoo getting a run in the team ahead of Garner. Garner has ably demonstrated that he is not a goalscorer at this level. Dodoo has 4 goals and 2 assists in the equivalent of less than 5 full games. He didn't do well at Tynecastle but who did? Since then he's had exactly 2 mins football whilst Garner has huffed and puffed but failed to blow the house down.

Whilst I'd agree his scoring record has been poor, Garner is the only forward who gives us the option of a longball. I'd like to see him & Dodoo play together.

Miller is the player I'd like to see taken out the side.

But would you not say that Scottish Football is the equivalent of League 1 standard?

In monetary terms, for most Clubs, yes, I agree.

What I would say is that right now our team is little better or worse than League 1 standard: Kiernan was a League 2 loan player, Tavernier, League 1, Windass and Crooks League 2 (OK promoted); Halliday and Holt League 1, Forrester League 1 (when he got a game); and if we are to win the League or get into the group stages in Europe any time soon, we need to aim higher than that.

I wouldn't argue with Garner and Dodoo; but I'd play Miller on the centre spot where he can use his experience to bring others into the game and still get up to score as he did vs Aberdeen. I don't think we have a better choice in CMF at the moment.
