After a scrappy opening period, we went on to play some really nice football and eventually took the lead. Kiernan then seemed to be a one-man band to try and get Saints back in the game. We then started to dominate again near the end of the half but don't get enough people in the box and our shooting/finishing is woeful. We're the better team here but we have to show this after half-time by taking our chances and avoiding stupidity at the back. The shape of the team is fine (a 3-5-1-1) and is resulting in a really open game. Their goal started as an attack from us just outside their area and they never touched it until Keirnen layed it into McLeans path. Might have put him off controlling the break of the ball. Entirely Kiernan's fault, though. Yeah, as much as I can't stand Sutton and Butcher, Garner has to do more in and around the six yard box. Too often he holds his position on the end of the box when he could be causing real trouble on the end of crosses. Generally though our finishing has been really poor.
