Email Response From BBC Regarding Non-Coverage of Rangers

Recommended Posts

Don't complain to the BBC orBBC Scotland. Complain to the BBC Trust. They are at least somewhat removed from the BBC Scotland cabal and have already slapped McLaughlin at least once.

The BBC Trust no longer exists dB and hasn't done since April/May this year when the UK Government had more or less implemented all of its shake up plans that it started in Sept 2016. It is in actual fact OFCOM who regulate the BBC now.

EDIT: to clarify when the changes began.

Good! Didn't know that. Ofcom has AFAIK fought for that for ages. So complains to them then, not least as your are paying license fees for the BBC and they fail their duty based on unreasonable bias.

Exactly. It is very revealing that they lie so blatantly in their template reply.

They lie because they know they are in the wrong & will not back down.

They must think we are all incredibly stupid that we can't see the anti-Rangers bias throughout BBC Scotland.

I attended the first demonstration by Bears outside Pacific Quay. The gathering was a protest at the obvious lack of objective reporting by BBC Scotland. I carried a small short wave radio with ear phones, and listened as Pat Nevin and Cosgrove wondered aloud, "what are they protesting about"? You would have thought journalistic curiosity meant Beeb Scotland would send a reporter outside their door to find an answer to said question?

The sinister part came later, when dozens of photographs of the demo' appeared on Sellik fans websites. Those photos were taken from the fourth/fifth floor of the Pacific Quay building. The pictures on Kerrydale Street and Sellik Quick News were asking their readers to identify any folks in the photos? Senior Beeb management were confronted with the evidence and promised to investigate. Peter Lawwell will reveal the identity of the Yahoo that pelted Ricksen with a lighter, before Beeb Scotland reveal the identity/indentities of the/those employee(s) responsible for distributing those pictures.

I attended the second protest to Pacific Quay organised by VB's, also the one to Hampden, there were a maybe couple hundred Bears on the VB and 5k on the Hampden protest. Not a great deal was achieved but it was enjoyable nonetheless getting into their faces. Another protest to Pacific Quay is long overdue, if it happens i'll be on it again, these haters at BBC Scotland think they are untouchable.

The BEEB as a whole are nothing more than a propaganda machine for the UK Govt. As such they have no idea of what constitutes fair & balanced reporting - throughout the UK.

I don't see that Darthter, I think the BBC on a whole is very Liberal, left wing attitude, BBC Scotland following the London lead but with a very parochial anti Rangers subsection.

BBC Scotland I grant you is littered with Left wing labour party place men. However the BBC as a whole has always been a media used primarily as a UK government propaganda vehicle which since the 2'nd great war was anti-Stalinist in flavour (irrespective of which government was in office) you only need to look at staff member 9889's credentials to understand this.

Yip i think every Government since the fifties has tried to set the BBC agenda if truth b,e told. When you think way back to the plummy oxbridge accents that used to read the news and do the political programmes it was class structured. But over the years that overt classness changed to a more Liberal, socialist mindset. Governments would like the BBC to favour their politics, you just have to look at Scotland and the SNP absolute desperation to gain control of Pacific Quay.

I personally think the bosses in charge of the BBC, and i'm including BBC Scotland in this, work it to suit whatever their current social political attitudes are? That is then filtered down from the top to where you have the situation of regional variations of this theme, part lIberal, part left leaning. With the government trying to get the BBC bosses more conservative minded. The BBC are denying it atm, but i think most people believe in the current Brexit negotiations the BBC has a London-centric Remainer attitude. Brexiteers do complain loudly about this apparent bias, but like us Rangers supporters find in Scotland, you can't change the attitudes of those making the decisions, making the programmes, documentaries and radio programmes. You would need to clear them all away and put in people who have the same views as we do. But then that becomes a bias as is at present, what we simply need is balance, which there is none especially at Pacific Quay.
