Rangers 1 Kilmarnock 1 Post Match Discussion.

It’s quite simple, if our players don’t get involved in the nonsense we win 2-0. The penalty was absolutely shocking also, did anyone think he was going to score? Stupid all round.
Terrible pen and jack should have gone down the minute broadfoot touched him. Still never a red card mind you.

Which is fair enough - but surely he can't legislate for being awarded a late penalty, having someone see red, then see the penalty missed and see the opponents head up the opposite end of the pitch and score ?

Completely agree that the buck stops at the manager's door - but with that late penalty the game should have been sealed. Instead we go down to 10, miss and they score - not sure the manager can do much about that.

He can 'legislate' for the capitulation in the last quarter of the match.

That was probably the intent of Broadfoot's mindgames with Jack. Be that as it may, that gung-ho stuff by Killie at the end was just the icing on the cake. After Sunday another flying kick in the teeth, quite a few players injured and a neat trip to Jamboland on the horizon. I don't think we are out of this particular valley just now. And gaining a point on Aberdeen is no real comfort.

Please note that standing on an opponent's foot is most certainly not a mind game.

I agree with that, but we were still 1 up with moments left.

One of my bigger concerns with Pedro is that he constantly looks to defend a lead instead of building upon it. He removed Morelos and brought on Barjonas, shoring up the midfield. Given we did well enough first half and got the goal, why not go for the jugular ? He talks about being bold and brave, but his substitutions often have us looking like we are scared, instead of being exactly what he proclaims to be.
