Everyone we know who is complicit in what’s going on, make a point of banning them officially from Ibrox. Actually banning football writers would be a significant escalation, and would perhaps lead to similar from the other side, with no coverage from affected organisations as a result. It might provoke sympathy action, also; from other writers, almost certainly. However, you never know until you try. Note that if the Club wishes to ban writers, such would be the controversy, it would have to get it absolutely right. Thompson and Stewart were unanimous on Sportscene that Scott Brown’s misdemeanour wasn’t a stamp and wasn’t deserving a red. One of the clearest stamps you’ll see all season. Impunity comes to mind.
