Ryan Hardie wins monthly award

Recommended Posts

LIVINGSTON have landed an awards double after Ryan Hardie and David Hopkin were named Championship player and manager of the month respectively.

Four wins and a draw in February helped propel Livi up to second place in the table, eight points ahead of Morton in third with a game in hand.

Hardie was instrumental in the run, scoring four goals to take his total tally at the Tony Macaroni Arena to five.

The 20-year-old sealed a move to the Championship club until the end of the season during the January transfer window.

Victories over Falkirk, St Mirren, Dundee United and Morton and a draw with Dunfermline last month have made Hopkin's side favourites for the runners-up spot, although they remain 11 points adrift of the Buddies at the summit of the table.

I would assume that while he hasn't featured much in the 1st team, folk behind the scenes obviously still rate him highly enough not to sell him.

A good loan spell, may well set him up for a real shot at the 1st team.

Murty knows him inside out, he will get every opportunity to make it as a first team player, it really is up to Hardie to do that
