Declan John Called Into Wales Squad

Recommended Posts

Wales are a better side, they’re 20th in the world and we’re 32nd.

He played the whole game which is great for him and great for Rangers. Exactly the kind of publicity we need for our players.

Scotland have better squad depth, but Wales have better individual quality.

We don't have a world class player like Gareth Bale who can make a huge difference. I dont think we have anyone as good as Aaron Ramsay either.

Agreed we have no world class game changer like Bale

They even have Ramsay and Allen, who are better than anything we have too.

John played Left Wing-back, with a back-three.

As sad as it is to say, Wales even have a more modern way of playing than us; that's one of the reasons they've done so well too. We're stuck in a rut; it's the same old same old.

You could say that about almost all sport in Scotland. As a nation we seem strangely attached to the past and reluctant to move forward. Why is that?

It is no coincidence that the Scottish National team’s performance rapidly declined upon Rangers’ banishment.

Not that we were that great beforehand it must be noted!

Personally I don't think that is just in sport. In many walks of life Scotland seems to have got left behind.
