The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals

Recommended Posts

We're maybe not as overloaded at LB as it appears. Halliday is a stand-in, Wallace will be off, John is not quite good enough and Flanagan is technically a RB.

In that case it'll be: John and Barasic at LB, with Tavernier and Flanagan at RB. Flanagan is better than John at LB, though.

4 players for two positions is not bad.

We do need forwards now.

Edit: @Darthter beat me to it...

He's the type of player we should be signing in terms of age, background and the quality he appears to have. However, we are looking very strong defensively and still very poor going forward. It's going to be a long season if Lafferty and Morelos are the main strkers we have to choose from. And Murphy, Windass etc aren't goods enough for the supporting positions. At least Middleton looks promising.

Of course we need to strengthen middle to front but this Croatian LB also improves our attacking optons and qualities, significantly.

Seems strange we're spending a significant figure on an area we're already pretty well provisioned for, particularly given how poor we are in attack.

Not if we go 3-5-2 where he could play as a wingback.
