Arfield is a proper, tidy player. The kind of guy that we need.

Anybody who says otherwise has not watched the current squad.

But we've not seen much of Arfield, have we?

He played consistently for Burnley in the 1st half of the season just ended.

I should have said we've not seen much of Arfield lately. I hope he is not carrying an injury. Our record in signing crocks is not good.

Not in a Rangers jersey.

He was good enough at Falkirk to attract a move dahn saff, and he ended up at Burnley.

He is no world beater, but he seems to me to be the kind of player who allows the team to keep the ball and keep moving.

I don't expect him to be other than a good professional, whbo will turn in a professional performance regularly.

I think we need these kind of guys.

Fair enough, we shall see.

Anyone getting the feeling there may be no significant movement till Gerrard actually takes the hot seat on June 1st? At which point he will have 6 weeks before the first Euro qualifying game.

If he can get us into that group stage he will already have done a job for the club. A 10 million pound windfall. Here’s hoping. I will remain confident till I have reason not to be.
