That inane, blaring, mindless matchday music

Recommended Posts

One thing that would really improve the Ibrox match day experience for me would be if we dropped the incessant ear-splitting music.

High volume music started back in the 1980s? ago to prevent rival fans indulging in aggressive chanting at each other during a period of routine football violence and is largely irrelevant in today's Ibrox, especially now that visiting fan numbers have been curtailed. I would however like to be able to chat to my companions without shouting to be heard.

We also used to put fans behind barriers until various disasters persuaded the authorities it was a bad idea. Times have changed and we should too. Either play the Sash and TBB or lose the deafening music Rangers.

I dislike the music, particularly after the goals.  The one time no one needs a soundtrack is when you're celebrating a goal...it's so cheap, tacky and Americanised.  Plus, we'll probably get The Ramones now that Gerrard has said "Let's go!" and if there's one thing I hate more than Madness, it's the f*cking male prostitute Ramones.

Liverpool and Man Utd don't have after goal music ...I don't like either of those clubs but I am very envious of them for that.
