THE ex-Celtic starlet suing the club in a sex abuse case now suffers mental health issues, court papers reveal.

Lawyers claim the former footie ace has been scarred by his alleged ordeal.

And the ex-Hoops player — who we are not naming — is now seeking compensation in a landmark legal fight.

Court files state: “This action concerns a claim for damages for historic sexual abuse.

“The pursuer has been diagnosed as suffering from mental ill health attributable to that abuse.”

The case called at the Personal Injury Court in Edinburgh on July 19, where lawyers Digby Brown got the green light to serve papers on Celtic.

EIGHT victims of ex-footie coach Harry Dunn were denied justice by his death

Claims heard there are for at least £5,000.

It’s understood to be the first time an ex-player has sued the club over sex abuse. It came as a review said child protection in Scottish football is “not fit for purpose” after cops recorded 300 crimes during an abuse probe.

We told how Rangers axed coach Gordon Neely in 1990 over sex claims. And ex-Ibrox scout Harry Dunn faced trial when he died at 85 last year.

Funny how they manage to bring rangers name into it.

I feel sorry for people who deceive themselves by buying these rags or voting SNP while claiming to support Rangers. Self-deception is such a pitiful madness.

... folks, they are online. You don't need to buy them and if some hardened souls post the articles (for reference and debate), the amount of clicks they get will be minimalized.

BTW, it is in the Sun.

Methinks, as noted on FF,  the recent debate on BBC Scotland was noteable for the absence of the word "Celtic". The Yahoo-minded host though quickly asked the question whether clubs should actually be held responsible for deeds done by people of their affiliated youth clubs ... to which Gordon Smith replied: No!

You would bet that certain mhedia circles will throw our name in every time this goes up and at the end of the day, people unaware to the facts will see us having equal blame as the Torbett-ITKers and sweepers.

Chris McLaughlin was on both BBC Scotland TV and Radio midweek offering the same opening line, "this all began three, four years ago in England ..................".

There you go, when Brazil, McLuskey, et al went into the witness box, swore on oath, bravely told of their personal experience and anguish, ..................... etc in 1988; it didn't happen. It's Pol Pot and Year Zero for the shill of CFC. Torbet and Cullen were not convicted and sentenced. Oh, and another thing, the ongoing Torbet case was discontinued for ................................... no one knows! When will it restart, was it awkward and inconvenient for it to run interference on the Chris McLaughlin message? Chris makes statements, he has been trusted to safely navigate the good ship, ? to calmer waters.

Now we know why Ian Maxwell was appointed as Regan's successor.

It is almightily sickening that our name is mentioned here alongside Neely and Dunn ... without noticing that Hibs failed to notify us of Neely's record at their club (or NOT reporting him to the  police), as well as NOT reporting that as soon as we found out we fired him AND reported it to the police. I would also assume that we did report Dunn as well, but can't tell without facts. Equally "impartial" NON-reporting of Torbett's name and Yahoo FC, of course.

One just hopes this lad gets all the way and gets as much publicity as he could ...

What the press neglect to mention time and time again is that Celtic's high heid yins deliberately covered up knowledge of a known paedophile in their midst.  Not just once either.  And that Rangers notified the relevant authorities as soon as they were made aware of Neely's actions.

There is a huge difference.  We did the right thing and they were complicit in the abuse of young boys.

You don't have to think too long about where they might have learned to act in this disgusting way.  "Bless me, father, for I have sinned...".
