Lawrie, not sure if still on it but he certainly used to come on regularly and use words not often heard on such phone-in. Your use of  "pusillanimous" had me looking it up for definition :D

OK; the defence was shocking; the defending equally so; we scored a lot of goals, to little avail, granted, but for a period of time, I would say that up front we were a little less than atrocious.

I never know if SBS really thinks that way, or is trolling, or is one of 'them'.  Either way, there's no point in arguing or trying to convince him.  Best ignored, or just laugh.
