I was reading through today's Evening Times and came across this :

Gerald King, 66, is accused of using lewd and libidinous practices towards seven schoolchildren while he was a teacher at a school in the north of Glasgow.

He went on trial today at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he is represented by defence counsel Gavin Anderson.

The charges span from August 1, 1983 to June 30, 1989 at the school in Glasgow and are alleged to have been committed on five boys and two girls.

King, from Springburn, Glasgow also faces charges of taking, or permitting to be taken, indecent images of children, on various occasions between January 1987 and December 1988 at Barrowfield football park at the city's London Road.

The pensioner denies the charges against him and the trial before Sheriff Johannah Johnston QC continues.

A teacher takes children to Celtic's then training ground(Barrowfield Park) to have photos taken over a nearly two year period; anyone else think Barrowfield Park might have been the centre of a Paedophile ring?

Especially when you consider former Celtic View photographer John Cullen, 49, was found guilty  at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Cullen, who lost his job at the Celtic magazine, admitted lewd and libidinous conduct - snapping young boys in the nude.

Isn't this how they operate, sharing child porn pics?

So let's have a banner in the Govan at the next old firm game demanding an independent police inquiry into what was the going on at Parkhead during that period it will be in a'll the households that watch the game and may bring a response from some if any decent lawmakers that are out there .

Gerald King of Celtic

Yesterday  the Evening Times reported that "A primary school teacher has gone on trial accused of a string of sexual abuse charges against former pupils".

Mr. Gerald King, 66, stands accused of using lewd and libidinous practices towards seven children.

Seriously, the Herald/Evening Times reporting Gerald King being a primary school teacher is disingenuous. The context of the story is alleged offences being conducted at Barrowfield Park, Celtic's training ground. Gerald King was the Chairman of Celtic Boys' Club during the time of the alleged offences.

Aye but we, as Rangers supporters, are simply "point scoring" if we point these things out.

The mainstream press seem disinterested.

This story will disappear.

I just hope parents realise that sending their kids to St Patricks Bhoys Club may be a bit risky.

To be fair, St Patrick's (formerly CBC) really IS a separate entity these days.  They have their Academy structure the same as we do.  Everyone involved at St Patrick's are raging Tims right enough.  When we took our Bermudian team over for Rangers summer tournament St Patricks (CBC at the time) were celebrating every single goal against Rangers Community teams as if they had won the World Cup.  It was embarrassing.... for them.

Celtc could be in real financial trouble if offences fall under us jurisdiction.

According to a VB article there are around 100 who are either commencing or considering legal action. If that’s true then this is far bigger than anyone imagined.
