Hibs to increase Rangers and St Pat’s Easter Road ticket allocation

Recommended Posts

HIBS are set to perform a u-turn and increase the Old Firm's ticket allocation for Easter Road...just months after slashing it.

Both ST Pats and Rangers were handed a reduced allocation for matches against the capital side and received less than 2,000 tickets in the South Stand.

The Leith side were hoping more of their own supporters would buy tickets for the matches.

It led to Rangers issuing a statement about Hibs' decision saying 'it beggars belief' and warning they would be 'considering ticketing arrangements for future matches – both home and away – against this particular club.'

And ST Pat’s supporter liaison officer John Paul Taylor criticised Hibs' decision too on social media after the South Stand for half empty for their visit in December.

Now Hibs have backed down and will hand over the full stand, which has a capacity of just less than 4,000, for their future home league games against ST Pats and Rangers.

  • Frankie changed the title to Hibs to increase Rangers and St Pat’s Easter Road ticket allocation

Hardly surprising. As soon as it became apparent they were going to be in a battle to make top 6 at best their following lost interest. And their crowds will be even lower after the split if they don’t make the top 6.

if it were up to me we would take no one there. If their own fans won’t pay the bills don’t expect us to pay them after all the mindless bile they have directed at Rangers.
