[FT] Rangers 2 - 0 Celtic (Tavernier 3, Arfield 63)

Recommended Posts

We need another goal to be completely comfortable, but we also need to make sure we start the second half as sharply.  I have to say that when we are as agressive as this at getting the ball back, it's a joy to watch.  It must be a nightmare to play against that though.  Brilliant stuff Rangers.

We had the rattlers rattled, early on, and should have capitalised, but, as seems to be the norm, didn't.

Their goalkeeper looks to be a liability, and must be tested, and tested again, in the 2nd half.

Excellent first half from all !

Once again, quality from Tav produces a goal.

Slightly frustrating note is Defoe getting caught offside so much.

Another goal would help the nerves.

A few years back when at Spurs or Portsmouth he would have started his run a few yards back, but he now needs to be much closer to have any chance of reaching the ball before the defender, though he is trying a bit too hard today and getting caught. Still at 37 and playing top class football cant be bad!!

  • Rousseau changed the title to Rangers 1 - 0 Celtic (Tavernier 3)

It'll be interesting to see what they do to replace Lustig.  I never rate him against us but he's been their best player in stopping Kent and Flan down that side.  If he goes off, I hope Kent gets more room to go out the outside now and then.
