True re Bassey, still raw but there's a player in there for sure.

Noticed how comfortable the keeper is playing out of the back, always a little risky if playing against a high press. He'll keep Shagger on his toes for sure.

Was obvious that the team were given clear instructions not to go long therefore it will be interesting to see how this pans out. Distribution is not Alan McGregors strength IMO and he has a tendency to pull the trigger on the long ball too early.

It looked like a controlled performance against quality opposition, albeit a friendly though there were tackles flying around that were far from friendly. A display of petulance from Kent took some of the shine off it. I'm looking for this to be his real breakout season. He needs to get his act together.

The goals...

That second goal is a tactic we use quite a lot. Barisic low ball into whoever who’s checked his run to give himself a yard. Worked perfectly at the Methadome against that mob as well

In olden days, this being a friendly, the ref would have booked him, and told the bench to sub him at ht. Common sense.

The incident was barely handbags. French ref, I assume.

Jean Beaton?

Goalkeeper looked confident the rest need matches to sharpen up their awareness but a wins a win .

But this morning I would be advising them on a visit to a good barber fr some square back and sides and the removal of this bumfluff and beards looks like some of them are hoping for walk on parts in peaky blinders
