Yet another weekend without football

Recommended Posts

Who thought if would be a good idea to have no proper football for ten days and then two games in four days. Far too many blank weekends due to dreary international and cup competitions.

Next Saturday will be party time, so perhaps this is a good weekend to take it easy or get something useful done.  Calm before the storm and all that.

Is anyone going to Ibrox next Saturday?

Reckon I'll be staying at home but enjoying it nonetheless.

"Cup Weekend"?

I don't know how many were engrossed by the Scottish Cup spectacle at the weekend but I suspect it wasn't many. I only found out this morning who was in the final. Just as well crowds will be banned, otherwise people might have wondered about the empty stands.

To be fair, Hibs usually take a decent following to a semi or a final. But as Alec McCleish once remarked, where do they go on a Saturday?

Don’t know why we couldn’t have got this Livingston game moved to the weekend with neither side having a game and tv not picking it up anyway. Makes no sense to me going 10 days without a game then 2 in 4 days to finish the season. Scottish football administration in all its glory.
