Happy with that. A very encouraging start from Gio given our performance before he came in. We are wasteful in front of goal but we don’t really have natural goalscorers in the team so it’s an ongoing thing. A young Kris Boyd would get well into the 20s in this team.

It was but Dundee, but those little changes against teams sitting deep worked well enough. Next game in France will be entirely different, yet with neither team needing to have a go, maybe we are in for a wee surprise.

Very dominant performance and you can see Gio's slight changes. We are not throwing as many men forward until we are camped in the opposions final 3rd which doesn't leave us as exposed if we lose the ball. 

 

If we had been more clinical and / or taken the correct choices, we would have run up a cricket score.

That was as much a training run as anything else: a decent performance, with some neat play, pace, and an almost acceptable result.

It has to be said that Dundee FC bears as much relation to quality football as The Sunday Post does to quality journalism, and, thus, we should have taken a few more goals - we certainly had enough chances.
