He's not played for a couple of months and missed most (if not all) of pre-season so not a surprise we're easing him back in. In the hope that a career lower league goalkeeper who has been our backup for 2 seasons, is turning 35 next month suddenly demonstrates ability that's not yet been seen? Sure we could. And we most likely will. I don't think we would have resigned McGregor had we got Sam Johnstone who went to Palace. He would have been our #1. It most certainly would ideally. Perhaps the issue with that is the window and worth noting we will either need to promote RM or get a keeper anyway for next year.
