I expected it to be extremely difficult for us - not least because it's a difficult group, as you said - but I did expect us to put up a semblance of a fight. 

I meant at start of group - all 3 would have looked to go far.

 

Liverpool aren't rubbish? Far from it. They are going through a tough patch at the moment, but saying they are rubbish is over the top.

 

Semblance of a fight - hard when you can't lay a glove on your opponents given they are leagues above us.

Really? Maybe look at the resources Ajax, Liverpool and Napoli have. Maybe look at how they have performed in CL recently. Then compare that to our resources and that this is our first time in CL since 2010.

We've scored one (1) goal.

We've conceded what, nineteen (19).

We may well finish tonight's business as the worst team ever to grace the CL Group Stages.
