Arfield opening a pub

Good luck to him.  I'm not sure the application will be successful due to the flats above the property and God knows what else but if it is, I hope it's a big success.

Once upon a time pubs were licences to print money. Not any more.

One of the richest blokes I ever knew had one of his betting shops next to a pub. He bought the pub. Most lucky winners at the bookie’s went straight next door and gave him his money back.

A sad indictment on our society.

Do we need another pub there? Is all it's going to do is dilute the Louden clientele and make it less likely for it to survive? The Louden isn't open every day so it must struggle to make ends meet.
